We help others have a better outcome, a better life beyond divorce.
Now, I help others have a better outcome, a better life beyond divorce. Not long ago, I was raising three teenagers and teaching yoga; life was good. My husband, the breadwinner, and I, the homemaker. However, things changed tremendously when he lost his job. Concerned about funding college, healthcare, and being around and involved in my kids’ activities, life changed. After many years absent from the paid workforce, I started a new career.
Subsequently, my husband left. After 25 years of marriage, we started down the path of divorce. In the first place, I had no idea how divorce works. Overwhelmed, confused, and daunted by the expense; I landed squarely in an out of control process.
Before all of this, I was the mom who made vacation spreadsheets, complete with contact information of all the places to see and stay. Besides, they showed driving distances. After that, I outlined schedules and hours of operation. And, of course, it had website links.
Grappling with the genuine and unfortunate fact that we were divorcing was devastating. My inability to rein in the process and the complete unknown of moving through it was disorienting. There’s so much I didn’t handle well. I’d do much differently if I knew what I know now. I often wished I had resources to help me beyond the traditional “you’re getting a divorce, get an attorney.”
Realizing it doesn’t have to be that way, I became a divorce expert to help others have a better outcome, a better life beyond divorce.
I continue to learn about divorce and the pros and cons of the different types. The financial rules and tax guidelines shaping settlements can make huge differences or man big mistakes. Above all, what best suits my clients’ individual situations is most important. I am a divorce mediator, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, Retirement Income Certified Professional®, Certified Divorce Coach®, and a Collaborative Divorce Financial Neutral on top of my role as Financial Advisor. To be clear, divorce is certainly a legal process; but the majority of your decisions will be financial and family-oriented. That’s not an attorney’s expertise; it is of a CDFA® and CDC®, with a lower price and more durable outcome.
Bridge-ing brings all these divorce-related areas together.
Most importantly, we are a resource (I like to think of Bridge-ing as a Divorce Concierge Service) to support women in divorce far beyond the traditional litigation-oriented model. Bridge-ing brings women together to support each other in a positive, forward-moving fashion. Together we help others have a better outcome, a better life beyond divorce.
We offer a divorce information webinar supporting women considering or divorcing at no charge. Attendees have the benefit of learning from divorce professionals in law, finance, and coaching.
My divorce didn’t go well. We don’t have a healthy post-divorce relationship. That will affect my family for years to come. Some severe and costly mistakes occurred in the process and settlement.
Every one of my clients is supported in the process. It goes as smoothly as possible, and they are educated and empowered. We are passionate about your best outcome, better for your family, your finances, and more durable over time.
We help you have a better life beyond divorce.
